Welcome to the Aulik for County Clerk virtual campaign headquarters! Odds are that you are one of my 81,910 bosses (and you thought you had it bad at work). Thank you for wanting to know more information about someone you may or may not vote for. My goal: obviously to convince you to vote for me! I'm going to give it my best shot, so here it goes... After being elected in April 2007, the mission of the County Clerk was and still remains to get information out to the residents of Manitowoc County. I am running for reelection because I believe that you need all the information you can get in an organized and efficient manner. We deserve an accessible, efficient, and secure county government - a 21st Century government at your fingertips. You can read more about my proposals in the "Key Issues" section of this website. As for me, I am a lifelong resident of Manitowoc County who strongly believes that my mission in life is public service. I have been serving our country since the age of 17, when I did something crazy and walked into the U.S. Army Reserve recruiting office and said, "Sign me up!" (In one of those ironies in life, the recruiter who put me in was none other than Jane Babcock, the County Veterans Service Officer - I was her first recruit.) Since then, I have served one tour in Baghdad, Iraq, and have been a member of the Army Reserve over 11 years. These days, the Army has put me in charge of about 50 of your sons and daughters - still the best and brightest that America has to offer. I also believe that my education will serve you well. I have a B.A. triple major from Marquette University and a M.P.A. from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Again, you can read more about me in the "About Me" section of this website. You might notice that there are audio files posted around the website. They are intended for the visually impaired but also serve to show the promise and possibilities that the 21st Century and the Age of Information brings with it. I hope that you will find the information on this website useful in making an educated decision in the primary election on Tuesday, September 9th and the general election on Tuesday, November 4th.
